A tablet punching machine, also known as a tablet press, is used in pharmaceutical and other industries to compress powder into tablets. Here’s a simplified explanation of how it works:

1. **Powder Feeding**: The machine has a hopper that holds the powder or granules to be compressed. This material is fed into the die cavities where tablets are formed.

2. **Die and Punches**: The machine contains a set of dies and punches. The dies are metal molds with cavities of various shapes and sizes, and the punches are used to compress the powder inside these cavities.

3. **Tablet Formation**: As the machine operates, the punches move in and out of the dies. The upper punch descends into the die cavity to compress the powder, while the lower punch rises to support the powder during compression.

4. **Compression**: The powder is compressed between the upper and lower punches, forming tablets with a specific weight and hardness.

5. **Ejection**: Once the tablet is compressed, the lower punch retracts, and the tablet is ejected from the die cavity.

6. **Collection**: The finished tablets are collected and can be further processed or packaged.
